Dalila

Dalila is a 12-year-old student in 6th grade who lives with her mom, sister, and another relative. She has one younger sister and helps at home by cleaning the house. Dalila enjoys school, especially Language Arts class, because it feels easier for her and gives her confidence in her learning.

She hopes to graduate from college one day and understands that continuing her education will help her reach that goal. Her favorite food is pepián, a traditional Guatemalan dish. In her free time, she enjoys playing on the swings and spending time outdoors. She is good at swimming and would like to continue improving in math. Being with her family makes her feel happy and hopeful, and she is thankful for the opportunity she has been given to study.
