Daniela

Daniela is an 18-year-old student in the vocational track who lives with her dad and brother. Daniela supports her family by cleaning up around the house and delivering flowers in Guatemala City.

At school, her favorite subject is Math because she enjoys writing numbers. She hopes to become a police officer one day so she can catch thieves. Her favorite foods are macuy and chipilín, traditional Guatemalan leafy greens. In her free time, she likes to paint. Daniela is good at sweeping and chopping vegetables, which are skills she learned from Doña Lily (the Chispas cook). She would like to continue to improve her cooking, become more organized, and remember to wash her dishes when she cooks. Spending time with her dad brings her happiness. Today, she is thankful for the food she receives, her school supplies, and the money her dad gives her for snacks at school.
