Donovan

Donovan is a 12-year-old student in 4th grade who lives with his parents. He is one of seven children and is the third oldest among his siblings. At home, Donovan helps his family by working in the fields, harvesting sweet potatoes.

At school, his favorite subject is Math. When he grows up, he hopes to become a soccer player. His favorite food is revolcado, traditional Guatemalan pork’s head stew! In his free time, he enjoys resting and lying down after a long day. Donovan is especially good at climbing trees. He would like to improve his handwriting and become a stronger reader. Being in the countryside and listening to the birds sing fills him with happiness and hope. He is thankful for the gift of life.
