Gretel

Gretel is a 10-year-old student in 3rd grade who lives with her mom, dad, grandma, and her little brother. She enjoys helping her family by washing dishes and mopping the floor.

At school, Gretel especially loves Math. She shares that she didn’t know how to multiply, add, or subtract before, but once she learned, she truly began to enjoy it. When she grows up, Gretel hopes to become a veterinarian because she loves animals. Her favorite food is pepián, a traditional Guatemalan dish. In her free time, she enjoys playing and helping clean around the house. She is good at painting, drawing, and swimming, and she would like to improve her writing. Playing with her cousin and seeing her mom makes her feel especially happy. Today, she is thankful for the new backpack she was given.
